You Your Business Your People
You may be wondering what your guts have to do with your business adventures. The catch is, your guts may fail you, and your guts may take you far.
What you need to know in the world of business is that:
1. Everything must be measured.
In a restaurant, even the span of time when a seat is vacated and occupied must be tracked down. You cannot rely on the net income alone, you have to see everything, every facet, and everything you can measure must be measured. You will see your pacing in every penny you lose and gain.
2. Never say it. Do it.
You want to be known in your field of expertise, then do something to advance. You want to see yourself having good connections with good mentors, then lead yourself well. Your child will never learn to avoid smoking when he or she gets older if you smoke yourself to death.
3. Make your business like your child.
You have to foresee you business growing gracefully. You might start crawling, but it will always be part of your development--to make you stronger until you can run the race with ease. You are not told to be rigid, but you always have to take care of all your transactions.
4. Be contented with small things.
Just like what is said in item 1, every penny counts. it may not be that fast, but when you gain high demand by marketing your product at low price with quality, you yourself will be surprised with the end results.
5. People will be the hardest to handle, always will be.
Take care of your business by taking care of your people. Even the strongest leader need incentives to be motivated to work. You will find the best people by being the best employer, just like in item 2, never just say it. Do it. At your first step, it will be you who is dreaming of possibilities, but along the way, you will find that you need people to dream with you.
