There are a lot of challenges in life. You may experience loss, betrayal or injustice, just to name a few. It is very easy to cast ourselves as victims of our circumstances. You might want people to comfort you, listen to you and hold your hand while you tell them how unfortunate you have been. You might even blame your upbringing for your life turning out the way it did. While it’s good to reach out to other people for support, you may be in danger of casting yourself as a victim for life.

You end up using your circumstances and your past as an excuse for not achieving success in your life. Instead of sitting there feeling sorry for yourself, you can decide to change your circumstances.

The only way you can change your circumstances is to change your mindset. According to - a mindset is a habitual or characteristic mental attitude that determines how you will interpret and respond to situations.

How do you change from a Victim’s to a Victor’s mindset?

• Develop the right thoughts. Discipline your mind to think the right way. Eliminate all negative thoughts or ideas from your mind.

• Surround yourself with the right material, people and atmosphere.

A victor’s mindset:

• A challenge is an opportunity to prove yourself.
• You present the answer to a problem. Stop being the problem.

Remember, it does not matter what has happened to you in the past; you've got to make a choice not to remain there.

Don't limit yourself to other peoples inability to provide a solution for you. Be the solution to your own life. Change your mindset.
