The Power of Laughter
We often hear the phrase, “Laughter is the best medicine.” It might seem a little hard to believe, yet it's true.
Laughter is the best medicine indeed
The sound of true happiness is a lot more contagious than a sneeze or cough. When you laugh amongst a group of people, you let go of your worries and burdens of your life for that moment. It binds people, and you share a special moment together.
The benefits of laughter are many. It boosts your immune system; providing your body with additional energy to face the day. It also helps with better blood flow to the heart, which can prevent heart attacks. It also promotes the release of endorphins which are the body;s
“feel good chemicals”. Laughter also provide temporary pain relief. A good hearty roar can relieve stress and physical tension, leaving the body muscles relaxed for up to an hour.
Another good reason to laugh more often is it uses far less muscles in your face when you're smiling or laughing, compared to when your frowning - hence resulting in fewer wrinkles.
The best thing about this priceless
“medicine” is that it is free, and of abundant supply should you wish to use it.
