That Time of Year

That Time of Year

A perfect time to reflect

It is the time of year for get togethers, Christmas celebrations, and camping at the beach. And it is also the time of year for reflection. A short break at any time of year, but particularly at the end is great for looking at things from afar, reconsidering where you are at.

A time for reflection.
On your holiday this year take the time to think about what you want the focus of 2014 to be for you. Maybe you will take up study? Maybe more of a caring role; a focus on self care?
I believe we can start any day with a fresh start, however there is something more powerful about starting the new year with a fresh start.

Some points to consider.
Take out some pen and paper and write down your thoughts and ideas. Reflect on the year that has been and the year ahead.
Here are a few ideas to help you focus your attention when considering the year ahead.
Is there something new you would like to try in 2014?
What is something you can do to improve the relationships in your life?
A new habit you would like to develop in the new year?
Is there a habit or something you would do less of?
Something you want to let go of?
Write down a few goals you would like to achieve in 2014.

Want more?
Really want to focus further? Why not write yourself a personal mission statement - a statement about the way you decide to live your life. Another fun activity is to write down your ideal day, describing everything you would do from the moment you get up till you go to bed.

Happy reflecting.
