Something To Look Forward To Part 1

Recently a friend on Facebook did a status update announcing that she was beginning the year in a loving way by participating in a pay it forward initiative. The first 5 people who were to comment on her status would receive a surprise from her in this calendar year. It could be at any given moment when she feels the mood come over her, and it would be something she feels suits the people receiving and will make them happy. All she asked in return was for these people to do the same, and copy and paste the status.

I got a little excited when I saw this status, and thought what a great idea. I was the first to comment. And of course, copy and pasted then updated my status with the same post. Immediately people commented, and I've decided to actually pay it forward to 7 people, as 2 of them obviously didn't see that 5 had already commented, and I couldn't leave them out.

This made me realise how important it is to have something to look forward to.

About a week later my friend asked me to pm her my address. And so I did. Now I've got a little excitement tickling through me, as I anticipate what I'm going to receive from her.

I'm also going to start thinking of what to do for these 7 friends of mine. It'll be fun finding creative ways to surprise each of them with something that will bring them joy.
