My Michelle Bridges 12WBT Journey Week 10

My Michelle Bridges 12WBT Journey Week 10

Posted 2014-05-28 by Ali's Wonderlandfollow
Week 10 already - time goes fast when you're working hard!! Another 2kgs gone this week - that means overall I have now lost 13.2kgs.

The 2kg weight loss this week can be attributed to stepping up the intensity of my workouts. I've had some computer issues this week, which meant I couldn't do the online workout videos - so instead I reached for Michelle's Project Series and whoa... they really work you hard. I also did a 'Super Saturday Session' which combined Michelle's Project Extreme and Project Ripped, and saw me burn over 1000 calories in that one session. I thought I would be really sore the next day, but I actually pulled up pretty well. In fact, I found myself on Sunday - my dedicated 'rest' day - running around the house cleaning the windows. Normally, I would be flagging before I even made it upstairs, but I managed to clean all the windows in the house and the head outside to help my hubby with the yard too!

I must say, even though I am fitting more into my day, I seem to have boundless energy.

On the nutrition side of things, I am finding that on the odd occasion I allow myself a 'bad moment' - but I seem to have the mind (and will) power to allow it to be just a 'bad moment' rather than a bad meal or a bad day or week.

So to hit my target, I have 2.5 weeks left to lose 1.9kgs, however, I will not just sit back and allow it to happen. I am going to continue to push myself and see how far I can go. Remembering that when the 12 weeks finish, that is just the beginning. I plan to continue this crusade on my own. At first setting myself another 12 week challenge using the skills I have learnt this round and then, after 6 months of really hard work - these healthy habits will be hardwired into my daily life.

Just to make things a little bit harder, I am also heading back to work part-time, so I will now need to juggle my roles as an employee; a mother; a wife; the housework, as well as keeping up my training... Hey, they never said it was going to be easy, but with the right planning and the unwavering support of my husband - I know I can do it. Michelle's mantra throughout the program is Just Freaking Do It (JFDI), and this is going to be my mantra to keep the momentum going, even when my alarm goes off at an early am time slot to fit it all in!

I had a look back at the previous round I completed back in 2012, and in that round I lost a total of 11.1kgs. So I have already surpassed these results - but I want to smash them. Who's with me?
