Have a Little Faith

Have some faith in yourself, and then you can move mountains and accomplish anything you set your mind to. Case in point, regardless as to whether or not you are a religious person - the holy bible mentions that word well over 300 times. The latter is classed as a prosperity textbook of our times. "Oh why are we fearful o ye of little faith?"
The below is an extract from one of my personal best selling books
Love. Gratitude. Abundance. Life. on the topic of faith. Of course, the below has been edited to suit the article and to adapt to Australian English. Is it quite lengthy, however you're encouraged to re-visit, bookmark and come to this article again and again. Fear will minimise in you, and you will be a role model in faith - the capstone to more abundance.
In order to live a really fulfilling and prosperous life, one needs to have faith in their own abilities and god-given talents to be able to utilise them most effectively in being of service to other people; in enriching the quality of their lives. This is the case whether it is a service designed to save people time and money, or a bit of both, in tandem with providing an individual with more leverage than if they had accomplished a certain service themselves 'the hard way.' Working hard does not necessarily mean you save yourself time and money or both, together with living an abundant life.
There is an abundance of time and money available in the world. Conversely, not only do you need to have fearless faith in your own abilities, but in other peoples abilities to perform a given service to your satisfaction. On the other hand if you own your own business that employs people, or you're currently in a supervisory or managerial position; in order to thrive, it will not only be great to have faith in yourself and in your employer, but also to have some faith in your staff too.
Faith implies trust. Before you need to trust people, you need to trust yourself. Again "as within so without." Part of Nelson Mandela's inaugural speech sums this up nicely. The speed of trust is as follows:
"We ask ourselves. who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous? Actually, who are you not to be? You are a child of God. Your playing small does not serve the world. There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won't feel insecure around you. We are all meant to shine, as children do. We were born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us. Its not just in some of us, it's in everyone. As we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others."
Notice how Nelson Mandela put so delicately that we are meant to make full use of our God given talents, and that you are more special and unique than you realise? You're encouraged to think and dream big, and when you do so you make this world (not only your world) a more abundant place to live in. As Michael Jackson sang in one of his songs, "heal the world make it a better place." He was certainly an abundant and prosperous man.
When you start a new project; have fearless faith as opposed to fear, and learn to trust the process. Going with the flow towards your good is the same as doing so. When you trust other people, more trust comes to you. This is law. When you provide high quality service to other people; especially to clients in your line of work, you definitely lead an abundant life. Be enthusiastic about the product or service you're marketing and promoting, and other people will follow, and will be enrolled in your serving.
Perhaps you're paying off some debt in living a more abundant life. Have faith that it will be paid in full at your desired time. With faith tasks are manageable, and faithful people are naturally more happier; achievement oriented, and more optimistic in life. Faith opens up doors where there were only walls. "I tell you the truth, if you have faith and don't doubt, you can do things like this and much more." (Matthew 21:21) The latter is one of my favourite phrases in the bible on faith. Never underestimate its power. Having a lot of faith in you, and in your abilities to thrive on planet earth pays huge karmic dividends to your abundant life; although not always immediately. However with unwavering faith, in time the fruits of your labour in faith will be actively rewarded.
There was a friend of mine I met through my business. We were having an abundant dinner at the local thai restaurant when she mentioned that she did not get paid from work when she should have, and only had $100 in her account. She needed $100 to register her children for soccer. She mentioned that the school called her to let her know that one of her children found a $100 note near the tuck shop, and then her pay miraculously arrived. Again the power of faith. She also mentioned to me interestingly enough at the same time that
"I should have some faith that I will be paid on time." Her lack of faith may have withheld her abundance in this circumstance.
When ordinary people serve with unwavering faith, combined with a strong attitude of gratitude extraordinary things happen. It is therefore vital to understand and really embrace the power of providing high quality service to other people in our line of work. Hebrews 11:8 gives a great testimony of faith and service, that when combined, provide powerful epiphanies in a givers life of you as the powerful servant nature intended you to be in living a really abundant and prosperous life.
God wants us all to reach for the stars and achieve lofty heights of the impossible. He proved this in Hebrews 11:12. Every servant starts in the dust to get grounded; and once grounded reaches for the stars, and achieves them in a myriad of abundance. God gave Abraham a dream to do this. We all start at the bottom. We all have to start somewhere before we climb to the top of our line of work and industry. No different to a child that crawls before it knows how to walk, and to then run. Have faith that you will make it. The dust on the ground is the domain of all servants and visionaries initially.
The path to greatness is real; and this is the real, abundant life. We have to understand the persona of the dust before reaching for the stars. Matthew 20:26-28 is also a great testimony of this piece of wisdom. For example with Cinderella, she had to endure the misfortune of her step sisters before she embraced her dream of marrying the prince, thanks to the assistance of her fairy godmother with unwavering faith.
It is not just about the stars in the sky. Remember, we need to stay grounded as the zen master said
"before enlightenment chop and carry wood, and after enlightenment chop and carry wood." Great things really come from the bottom, the dust in the ground in creation itself. Its natural, physical and ordinary where extraordinary things begin to happen. People become great servants through mentoring in their field. I had to endure almost four years of study in personal development, universal laws and spiritual practice before I could even write about the topic at hand before being of service to others. Even before I could even become a therapist, I needed to ensure I was a healer as well. What a great gift to be of service to others.
You really do need to know how to give in order to receive, and before you do receive the abundance that is rightfully yours; first and foremost you need to give, and to be open to receiving your good in return by adding immense value into others lives in enriching the quality of their life, and in your life simultaneously. When you're inspired, tuned in and tapped on with your life’s work; you really don't have to work another day in your life again. "A gift opens the way for the giver, and ushers him into the presence of the great." (Proverbs 18:16) In other words, your gift makes room for you in the abundant land. The heart of a servant is clearly a giving heart with a little faith. "You must each decide in your heart how much to give. Don't give reluctantly or in response to pressure, for God loves a person who gives cheerfully. God will generously provide (to you) all you need. Then you will always have everything you need, and plenty left over to share to others." (2 Corinthians 9:7-8)
In other words, giving guarantees abundance when you're simply giving a gift without any strings attached, and/or being of service to other people. Give more to what you want, and less to what you do not want. For example, if you strongly desire to start your own business to change your life; then give more to your business after and outside of your job when working on your business, than you do on your job. This will kill off the fear in getting started. Still serve as you are at your job to look after your employers clients. A person's gift makes room for them. A giving, selfless heart creates people and brings opportunities to ensure you fulfil your dreams. It creates expansiveness. Give more to what you want, I cannot stress this enough. The persona of a servant who is naturally a giver in fearless faith opens great opportunities to the servant, and now abundant servant, and you will definitely be exalted. You will be on fire. "Those who exalt themselves will be humbled, and those who humble themselves will be exalted." (Matthew 23:12)
"Don't look out only for your own interests, but take an interest in others too." (Philippians 2:4)
When you're really into servanthood and living abundantly, the rewards are too numerous to go through. You will receive signals from the universe when your calling is in tact. Your sphere of influence will then be elevated. The real way to greatness that brings you more space in your life, hence the bigger spacious home will manifest into your world.
Influence (with faith) gives you the opportunity to serve others at a greater level. Influence and honour, particularly by honouring your word, is a great opportunity to really serve, and be your very best at all that you do. Not just at work or in your business; but also in your marriage, and in your social circles too.
Life will really take on a world of its own with service and faith in using the talents and abilities God has given you to use in this lifetime, and to use them wisely. The service you give to others is to do with the size of your heart, and not on the size of your gifts and talents. The key is to re-design your life bit by bit in chunks. As the saying goes
"inch by inch its a cinch." All it takes is to ask high quality questions of yourself such as "how can I be 1% more effective in what I do today?" You've got it. Accomplishing any goal or task is done by breaking down the steps into baby steps.
Many new business ventures only require a couple of hours a day, and if that, to work on and build to prosperity. "If you are faithful in little things, you will be faithful in large ones. But if you are dishonest in little things, you won't be honest with greater responsibilities." (Luke 16:10) Conversely, if you want to be a self made millionaire and then multi-millionaire; you need to manage the little money you do have coming in at the moment in comparison. The universe loves order, and I am not kidding when I say this to you. If you cannot manage the small amount of money you do have in your physical world, then how confident would be the universe be if it sent you millions to manage? Definitely something to think about. Again what you don't appreciate depreciates into your world, regardless as to whether that thing you do not appreciate is wanted or unwanted.
"Our daily thoughts and actions should be directed towards the benefit of others." - Dalai Lama
The epitome of faith: Service. Love. Giving. Respect. Patience. Just having a go. Have faith and do your best.
