Get Lost Get Caught Get Up
Every change of heart must be listened to. In all areas of life, oftentimes, we get lost. Most of us want the way back, but we all should make peace with our past. Leaving and forgiving haunting memories behind, and being grateful of the lovely ones without regret.
Being lost is an avenue of creation. To learn, some values that have long been holding us back from liberating ourselves may have to be broken. Sometimes we feel like we do not know ourselves anymore after being surprised and overwhelmed by a lot of changes.
What matters most is how you get your mind back into shape. Focus on the things that you have, be grateful for every experience, forgive your past mistakes and learn. Imagine being in a relationship with someone, be it a close friend, lover, or family. Let us say, one of those relationships reach the unhealthy side of it that you feel you must let go and end it to keep yourself sane.
You found out that you are not interested in your chosen career after all, and that every day of working in an office makes you breathe heavy sighs, wishing you could travel around the world and just write about all the things you see and get paid for doing what you love. Suddenly after decades, you feel like you are living in the wrong place because all your life, people focus on criticizing the way you carry yourself. In an instant, it dawned on you that you have been hurting people you love by not trying to adapt.
You will always find yourself in every mind blowing situation. Keeping in your mind that you can’t just stop; trying to make everything fall into place as you have thought it was broken to pieces. Variety of experiences color our lives with memories we feel hurt at the moment, but we will soon laugh at in the future.
Just look at your past teenage love, how you exchanged cheesy sweet nothings, how you felt so much hurt letting it all go, and now that it’s done, admit it or not, it makes you feel embarrassed at those youthfully crafted words that don’t apply to adults’ language anymore. You are grossed out about chasing that boy, how stupid you think it is now, and you do not have any choice but to laugh about the memory of falling face down on the ground you wish you had just laughed it all out back then.
Indeed it is true, that despite being in the moment, the past and future happens simultaneously making our minds into haywire, but what is imperative in every situation is find what it is that leads to happiness.
You cannot be happy being selfish, sometimes you need selfish ways to be happy and realize your worth. Be grateful for being alive to appreciate good happenings as compared to the inconveniences, to find good people in a dark place, to find yourself in the midst of chaos, to appreciate the end of something in finding another start.
