Coping with Internal Darkness

Coping with Internal Darkness

When coping with depression, it can be a challenge to even get your bum off the couch and go outside.

You feel your body is drowsy and you have no motivation with life or dealing with peers. One way to cope is to constantly fill out your weeks with tasks to do, that way your mind is on the go and distracts yourself from being put in lazy situations.

Example, if life itself is getting to you along with the people in it. Some things to do are

- Have some alone time. Go to a peaceful place where you're free to do whatever you want and have a breather.

- Get out a journal and diary and fill it up with lots of tasks like going to work, seeing friends, homework, going nightclubbing, reading, watching movies. If these don't fall under your category of pastimes you can always make up your own.

- Avoid anything to do with social networking, (Twitter, Facebook, Tumblr, etc.) This encourages procrastination.
