10 Life Changing Lessons My Dad Taught Me

You bet. I am a daddy's daughter. Like for everyone, my dad is my first hero and role model. My dad has a special way of sharing his love for me and my sister. When we are with him, we are made to feel that all the affection in this world is so tiny compared to what he has for us. He loves cooking for us, and brought us up with all he had.
Dad taught us some important lessons. We grew up learning these, and today being far away from him all - this makes more sense than ever before. Thank you Daddy. You are the best.
1.Easy Easy Rosy
"Easy Easy rosy" was what he told us every time we made a mistake. When I fell down in the sand and hurt my knee, when my sympathetic self came out, he would rub my knees and say "Easy easy rosy." When we broke something by mistake, he always told us it's ok to make mistakes. Life has been better at times when I could tell myself "It's ok to make mistakes."
2.Pamper while eating
Having meals together is very important for him. He would always say it's imperative to enjoy your meal and appreciate it to the fullest; especially if mum has cooked it. So while eating, no matter what, he would never discipline us for anything.
3.Be expressive
Life is meaningless if you don't tell someone you love about how you feel. Let someone know about your affection. It changes life for the better.
4.Appreciate nature
Nature is so beautiful. Stop and take time to appreciate nature and all its magnificence. It is uplifting for your heart.Try to make gardening a part of your life, and bring some oxygen inside your house. Talk to the plants for they are living beings too.
5.Cook a meal for the sick
Cook a soup or porridge for someone who is sick. Serve it to them with love. It does more wonders than medicine.
6.Accept people as they are
People come in various flavours. Everyone is good and bad. Accept them as they are, and it will bring down your expectations.
7.Never eat alone
Try not to eat alone. Share your meal with someone, and it sure will taste tastier.
8.Follow up is more important than starting
Be it anything, if you start something, follow it up and never give up. It is ok to be a heavy truck without moving, but once you put your first gear forward, don't stop.
9.Visualise
If you are doing something, first visualise every detail of it in your head. Work out the economics and bring everything together in harmony. Be it organising a party or hosting a dinner; it all starts with visualisation.
10. 'Give in' in a relationship. It's worth it
No matter whose fault it is; give in during an argument not because you are incompetent, but because you are doing it for love. It is the most important attribute of expressing love.
