When people say, “what doesn’t kill you makes you stronger” it can boil your blood and infuriate you. When you’ve hit rock bottom and nothing can console you, this is the last thing you want to hear. Deep inside you know they’re right but in that moment in time you just need support not lessons.
It’s proven that people who have had more grievances, a harder road, gone hungry, succeed at getting a better life than other who have had it easy. You should be proud of your battles, whether or not they were victorious. There is always someone who is worse off than you, but that doesn’t make your problems any less valid.
You just have to remember this is your own journey and life wouldn’t throw you these obstacles at you if it didn’t think you could handle it, it sucks, I know.
All it takes is time to heal, because at the end of the day scar tissue is stronger.
