Simply put, in order to receive - you need to learn how to give, and give to others unconditionally. The Law of Reciprocity is one of many universal laws when going with the flow, and in enjoying an abundant life.

Giving starts the process. Then again, you definitely reap what you sow. You might be thinking that you have nothing to give right now, and yet a few of your emotional buttons have been pressed as a result. Baloney. All of us has something to give to others. Then again, we are all connected. Everything is energy. The exchange of thoughts, concepts and ideas with others is an energy exchange. There is nothing 'woo woo' metaphysical about this concept. This is true.

As a certified Practitioner of Neuro Linguistic Programming, I have had therapy patients in the past that have asked me to "fix" them. Sure, NLP is a do with and not a do to process. I do my bit, yet the patient has to do a bit of hard work to assist themselves with the new pattern of behaviour they wish to rectify in their life - from quitting smoking to losing weight for example.

We have a lot to give, and this giving is not necessarily in the form of money. You can smile at others. You can give thanks for your great life. These actions don't cost a dime. Not at all.

Give to your business, and your business will give you so much back in return for the seeds you have planted with time, patience and persistence. Give till it hurts. Same with all other areas of your life. You cannot take all the time.

On the other hand, once you have given - do not expect (or rather demand) to receive in return. However, you will definitely receive. This is what this key universal law is all about. Do not say to someone "no you shouldn't have" as soon as they have gifted you something. Give thanks and praise for the unexpected gift that is your abundance, whether wanted or unwanted. This holy truth has meaning to this premise. If you cut off this gift, the power is diffused. Therefore, you're sending a powerful message out into the universe that you're not open to receiving, and just like that - you've cut off the abundance that is rightfully yours.

The key: give and receive. We live in a world of duality where there are two sides to every transaction.
