Did you know two out of five households own a dog or cat? Us humans love our pets, and do you know why? In a survey done recently, the results were amazing. Yes we truly believe that our pets are here to protect us. Dogs especially, they are our life long buddies. The majority of people say that the dog is mans best friend, and if we look around, there is so much evidence to support that theory. Have you ever gazed into your dogs eyes and felt overwhelmed by the beauty of their love? Even when we have a bad day, or we're just upset with life; maybe even angry - they feel and experience all our emotions too by sensing everything that we do.
As an example a few months ago I hurt my left foot. It swelled up like a mountain (small one though). I came home from the doctor with it bandaged, and that very next day my dog hurt his left foot, and had to had it bandaged up like me. The neighbours thought it was so funny, they had a good laugh at me and my dog. Both of us were limping around the yard, although it was in a good way.
Dogs try hard to please us all the time, if they only knew we should be trying to do the best for our four legged friends. Next time when you're not feeling happy, go over to your pet and stroke their back; and then shortly you will feel your emotions lifting higher and higher. Dogs are very good for us both mentally and socially. They can raise our spirits high.
If you don't have a pet and you are a little stressed, you should think about getting one. They will help your stress levels.
Then that is a win win for all. A win for you, and a big win for the dog. Keep safe and remember to share a smile.
