Delicious Breakfast Smoothies

Breakfast is often called the days most important meal, and rightly so. Having a good breakfast gives you enough energy to face the day. A strong breakfast can keep you going till your next meal, and stop you from gorging on unhealthy snacks in between.



Smoothies have become quite popular recently, and they are now one of the most popular breakfast choices. They're quick and easy to prepare, and can be made in advance and stored in the freezer to be used when required.

Two of my favourites are below:

Banana, Chocolate and Oat Smoothie

1 banana
¼ cup oats
2 Tablespoons Chocolate powder
½ cup skim/fat-free milk
½ cup low fat yogurt
Honey to taste

In a Blender, combine all ingredients and puree until smooth. Enjoy.

Berry and Chia Seed Smoothie

1 cup orange juice
1/3 cup strawberries
1/3 cup blueberries
1/3 cup cranberries
2 tablespoons chia seeds
½ cup low fat yogurt
Honey to taste

In a Blender, combine all ingredients and puree until smooth. Enjoy.
