A womanís wedding date is one of the most stressful times of her life because she is seeking perfection on that day. She worries about how she will look. She gets nervous about being able to keep her husband happy forever. A bride who has to conduct a large portion of the planning will be especially nervous. A wedding day is supposed to provide both parties with a sense of joy and peace. The bride may have to do some de-stressing to achieve that sense of peace. The following are some tips on de-stressing before the big day:

Realize that No Human or Situation Is Perfect

Most of the stress that a bride endures comes from anticipation about the future. She worries that the ceremony will not be perfect if she does not have her hair, dress and nails just right. She can find some peace in remembering that no person or situation is ever perfect. It is how the person handles the situation that makes it either stressful or non-stressful. The bride should focus on being happy. She should look in the mirror and smile knowing that someone loves her unconditionally.

Rejoice in the Everlasting Love

Another way the bride can de-stress is by remembering that her special day is the beginning of an everlasting love between her and her husband. A bride should focus on each moment of the present instead of letting thoughts about the future engulf her.

Share the Responsibilities

The process of planning a wedding can be extremely overwhelming. One way that a bride can relative some of her stress is by sharing the responsibilities with other parties. For example, she may want to leave the wedding catering to a third party. Caterers can provide a large portion of the wedding appetizers, meals, cakes and the like.

Meditate and Enjoy Nature

Meditation can be a wonderful experience for a bride-to-be. The process involves breathing deeply so that the soul ingests positive elements. The release of the breath will eliminate all negative things that are inside the person. The key to successful meditation is to find a quiet area where no distraction will arise. Forest areas, mountains and the countryside are nice areas to meditate before a wedding. The bride-to-be can use CDs, scriptures or memorable quotes to aid in the meditation process.

Watch a Comedy

Laughter is still one of the best forms of medicine for stress, depression and other challenging feelings. The reason that laughter is so effective is that it changes the chemical activity in the brain. The brainís serotonin experiences shifts, and those shifts bring about feelings of temporary contentment. A bride will also notice a feeling of calmness after a bout of laughter.

Listening to Calming Music

Calming music or nature sounds can help relieve stress before a wedding, as well. The bride can find a wealth of calming sounds online, and she can use them to maintain a sense of serenity before her big day.

A bride-to-be can find success in any of the previously mentioned de-stressing ideas. She can develop some additional de-stressing methods by improvising, as well.
